Out of My MindOut of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I just finished Sharon Draper’s book, Out of My Mind and it was outstanding! A candid, first person perspective of the life of an amazing ten year old girl with cerebral palsy. She cannot speak, her movement is very limited, and she is loved dearly and well taken care of by her family. Through her story we get to understand how she feels. Often misunderstood, ignored, made fun of, and left out among her peers. They don’t realize how special she is, how very smart she is, but they soon find out. I am so glad to have read such a gem.
