A shiny new year gets readers excited about new book releases. The Beat the Backlist challenge gives readers a way to be intentional about getting to those books we couldn’t wait to read last year but never quite got to before the year’s end. It is a great way to show some love to your TBR (to be read) pile.

This will be my second year participating in this challenge and I learned that I needed my list to be a bit shorter so that I might actually get through every book. In 2018 I had 34 books that I’d added to my challenge and I only read 11 of them. This year I have 20 titles which you’ll see below. They are a mix of picture books, middle grade, and YA. I will include links to author pages below the graphic.
