Roger Gocking wants out, for real. He’s long since turned over a new leaf and now sides with the heroes. Trouble is, breaking a contract with the Hobgoblin is more than problematic. He gets stomped on, stripped of his porcupine suit, has an explosive placed in his lap and well…tik tik tik…BOOM!

Meanwhile, Carol and Jessica try their best to mend what’s left of their friendship. Carol even offers to babysit so that Jessica can investigate Roger’s death. She fully intends to go all in and obliterate anyone who might have even looked like they had something to do with taking Roger out. She may get really beat up and bruised but in the end, vengeance is hers, and she likes to serve it up old fashioned whoop-A$$ style!

This was a nice ending to the series. I can’t say much but I loved the surprises in this volume and I will miss Roger, Jessica, and her baby boy. This ends my trip down the Spider-Verse lane, for now anyway. I plan to give the new Miles Morales writer, Saladin Ahmed a shot. Bendis gave his stamp of approval, so I’m hoping for the best. Volume 1 is called Straight Out of Brooklyn and it releases 7/30/2019.
