A Little Chicken by Tammi Sauer

Sometimes when life gets tough, you have to be brave enough to face your fears, even when you feel a little chicken. Dot was afraid of so many things but when her unhatched sibling rolled away from the coop, she found the courage she needed to save the day. A Little Chicken by Tammi Sauer would make a great addition to any K-5 library. I hope it will encourage our students to be brave, even in the most difficult of situations. And on a side note, I think that Dot is so adorable with her supersized glasses!

That’s a clever way to talk about fear and how to handle it.

I thought so as well. I really enjoyed this book and I think that Joanna and Rosie did too.
