#MustReadin2019 Hosted by There’s a Book for That
This marks my 2nd year participating in this reading challenge and in 2018, I found it to be a great way to commit to reading a dozen titles that I was most excited for. There was no limit to the number of titles to read, that was simply the number I chose. In 2018, I read 9 out of 12 books or technically 9 out of 11 because one of the titles pushed the release date into 2019 (On the Come Up by Angie Thomas). You can read more about the books I chose last year in my final update post of the year here.
CeCeLibrarian’s #MustReadin2019
I’m going with 17 titles that I can’t wait to read in 2019. They are in this PicCollage and are all scheduled to be released in 2019. Please note that I will update this once covers have been revealed for Dragon Thief (Dragons in a Bag #2) by Zetta Elliott and My Life as an Ice-Cream Sandwich by Ibi Zoboi. Links to Author Websites and known release dates are at the end of this post. Happy New Year & Happy Reading!
If this sounds like a challenge you’d be interested in, read this post on There’s a Book for That. What books can’t you wait to read in 2019?

I want to read every book on your list! It’s going to be tough to choose just one (I crowdsource my #MustRead list, choosing one title from each person’s list), but I think it will be either New Kid or the new Elizabeth Acevedo, which I cannot wait to get my hands on.

Awesome that you have so many great 2019 titles. I’m eager to read Zetta’s sequel to Dragons too. I have a couple of Zoboi’s books on my list, but different ones. I have On the Come Up too. I look forward to hearing your responses to these titles. I think I need to add a few to my TBR. Thanks for sharing and happy reading!

I am reading everyone’s posts and adding to a ‘second’ list for new ones I haven’t heard of yet. Your list just added a bunch. I do know about Ibi Zoboi’s upcoming book, but not the others. Thanks, lots of reading to do this year!

So many of your titles I am anxious to get to as well! I was lucky enough to snare a copy of On the Come Up at NCTE and it is AMAZING! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but wow! Start it as soon as it comes out in Feb! Happy 2019 reading!

I cannot wait for Children of Virtue and Vengeance — loved the first book and the wait has been torturous! I also enjoyed The Crossover and Dragons in a Bag #1 — I had missed the title for book #2, so I need to add that to my list. I adore the cover to A Good Kind of Trouble and hope to read that one, too! I’ll look forward to checking in with you on update dates! 🙂

Hi Shaye. I’m trying so hard not to buy all of these books but I already have at least three of them on pre-order. Children of Virtue and Vengeance, New Kid, and The Roots of Rap. I’m going to try and borrow some of the titles on my list from my library too.
