I loved Potato Pants! Well because it’s a POTATO! That and the fact that the book opens with the potato doing the Robot. Actually, since it’s a potato, its the Po-Bot (duh!)
The potato needs pants. More specifically, the ones that you can get at Lance Vance’s Fancy Pants Store for one day only. The stripey pair, just like the ones in the window. The only problem is that Eggplant is in the store too and is big and mean. Potato knows this for a fact because just the day before while minding its own potato-y business, it got knocked over by Eggplant. Such a tragedy. But what will Potato choose to do when given the chance to forgive? Will Potato be able to do it? Will Potato get the pants of its dreams? You’ll have to get a copy of Potato Pant to find out.
What a joy this was to read! The illustrations were just right and so fitting to the tale. They were colorful, fun, and expressive. I imagine my K-5 students will thoroughly enjoy this book as much as I did.
