This cannot be a bedtime story because Penguin & Tiny Shrimp do not do bedtime! In which case, this is NOT a review of a bedtime book so don’t go expecting to hear about how this story will lull your little one to sleep. It is, however, a tale filled with adventure. A jog through the Serengeti, sailing through shark-infested seas, side-splitting jokes, and songs that will make you want to dance the night away; anything but sleeping. There is definitely no sleeping! Until there is…Zzzz
I really enjoyed Cate Berry’s story and admired Charles Santoso’s illustrations just the same. If you have little ones at home who are reluctant to go to bed, this book will likely be right up their alley. It is one that I think my students will enjoy too.
