2018 Reading Challenges & Goals | #MustReadin2018
I am grateful for reading challenges that help me stay on top of my goals. In 2017, I met my Goodreads goal of 50 books and it was in large part due to the awesome Book Excursion team of educational leader readers that I joined last summer (2017). Thank you for the efforts of co-founders Laura Mossa (Beagles and Books) and Kimberly Bower (02b Heavenly Minded) and each member who have caused me to read more books than ever! It was on Laura’s blog that I caught wind of the #MustReadin2018 challenge that is hosted by Carrie Gelsen’s, There is a Book for that.
While my Goodreads challenge for this year is set at 100 books, with nearly 200 books on my Want to Read shelf, the books I am purposefully selecting for the #MustReadin2018 challenge represent books that I have been SUPER excited to read from 2017 & 2018. These books make me feel proud. They make me feel bold, brave, and beautiful. They make feel like anything is possible. Empowered!
I am using PicCollage to share my #MustReadin2018 list with you (thank you Laura Mossa for the tip). There are 12 books in total, including Angie Thomas’ book, On the Come Up (set to release 5/2018). I’d like to say that I will also add whatever mysterious WIP Nic Stone (author of Dear Martin) is cooking up at the moment.
Please note that the release date for On the Come Up by Angie Thomas has changed to February 2019. I still plan to keep it on my #MustReadin2018 list though in the event I am lucky enough to score an ARC.
