Feb. 2018 |Authors We Love – Shouting Out Our Favorite Authors

Adobe Spark (6)

There are so many authors who have written books that have meant the world to me. They’ve taken me on adventures, caused me to think in profound ways and have influenced me as a reader and writer. During the month of February I wish to take some time to shower some of my favorites with book love. I’m new with doing anything like this but I’m just going to dive right in and if you would like to join me, you are welcome to. The more the merrier. Feel free to snag the images I made for each week with Adobe Spark and let us keep up the good work of supporting the work our favorite authors.

As a K-5 school librarian, I talk about books, authors, and illustrators daily in a manner I hope ignites my students’ love of reading. I am an active reading champion to anyone who would listen, a book cheerleader of sorts and I don’t just stop at the four walls of my school. I tell my fabulous hairdresser about the books I read, the man who sells me coffee at Premier Gourmet, my church family, my dance mom crew (they’re the best!), and anyone who follows me on Social Media. My Twitter game is tight but my Instagram game is lame-I need to work on that.

Blogging has been a great platform for sharing and talking about books and I see people hosting challenges through memes all the time and thought maybe I would give it a go. Should you choose to join me, my plan for each full week of February is below. You can participate any way you choose.

  • Write a blog post & share it on your choice of platforms
  • Write and share reviews of books by your favorite authors
  • Shout out your favorite authors on your choice of Social Media platforms #AuthorShoutOut #AuthorsWeLove #AuthorsILovetoRead (these are just some suggestions)
  • Record a video Book Talk and share it

In the comments at the end of this post, leave your name, a link to your blog or social media handles if you’re diving in with me.
