It is fun to me to be able to display cute, silly, mildly-spooky, monster-themed children’s picture books in my elementary library during the Halloween season for my students to choose from. Zachariah Ohora’s fun, colorful illustrations certainly captured my interest in Denise Vega’s, If Your Monster Won’t Go To Bed. It is a story laced with a dose of humor, a dash of ick, and a dollop of dance (the Monster Stomp). It is one I think my students will enjoy.
