There is no place like home. A place where you feel connected to family and friends. A place where love lives, with walls that have tales to tell of countless memories and milestones celebrated. At the very least, a place to call your own. A place where you belong. Home. For Kenzie Rhines, home is wherever her dad’s job takes them that moment, in whatever hotel they choose.
When her dad receives a longer assignment in Las Vegas, Kenzie gets to put her peripatetic lifestyle on hold and enjoy the thrills of middle school. Or shall we say the ups and downs and drama of middle school; being the new girl, auditioning for the school musical, having a big secret revealed. Will this finally be a place where Kenzie can fit in, make friends, and live a normal life-at least for a little while?
This is the perfect middle grade read for elementary students looking for a glimpse into middle school life and for those older students who are already in the mix.
